Slovak Gold Certificate

The Slovak Gold Brand is granted in three basic categories: product, service and specific product (for instance important discoveries, prototypes, inventions, projects, industrial patterns, software, scientific works and publications). System is described into details in the Conditions for Awarding the Slovak Gold Certificate. The system shall provide a guarantee of professionalism, competency and unbiased process of certification. Each proceeding shall start with Application. The following bodies participate in the assessment process:

  • Applicant (producer, importer, service provider, author of product and so on),
  • Specialized assessment commission, evaluating the enclosed documentation,
  • Secretariat of the Foundation, involved in technical and organizational activities,
  • Presidium of the Foundation, granting the Slovak Gold Certificate.
The opinion of the specialized assessment commission is decisive for granting of Certificates. This commission is nominated for each proceeding using an own database, including more than 1000 experts. Specialists with a conflict of interests cannot work for this commission.
Each certified product shall acquire the right for 18 months to use the Slovak Gold Brand as exactly defined and maintain permanent level of quality. In case of quality decrease during this period of time, the Brand can be withdrawn. Validity of the Slovak Gold Certificate can be extended upon a request of its holder for additional eighteen-month period, but only twice.

Slovak Gold Exclusive Certificate

This unique certificate is granted by the Foundation in a co-operation with the University of Economics in Bratislava starting from 2006 not to products, but to an entity – usually a company. Such company must in application – at minimum for the last five years – achieve for long-term not only good economic results but also related commonly wished values, for instance stability and prosperity of company, care for employees, environment, investment into development and so on. University and Foundation participate equally in the assessment process. Their highest representatives – University rector and Foundation’s President – sign and award this extraordinary certificate. Holder of this certificate in his position, activities and partnership relations shall achieve high level of confidence and reliability. It is really the original product, as no similar system for assessment of companies in Slovakia does exist.
